ILX LIGHTWAVE LDT-5940C 5 A / 12 V Thermoelectric Temperature Controller

The Newport LDT-5940C Thermoelectric Temperature Controller combines precision temperature control with an intuitive instrument front panel for fast, accurate temperature control of laser diodes and other optoelectronic components. The LDT-5940C was designed for customers requiring higher power and high stability. This new temperature controller with digital PID control loop achieves temperature stability of less than 0.003°C with output current noise and ripple less than 2mA rms. Fast setup is accomplished with preset PID values or by using the auto-tune function. Users can also manually enter PID values. The LDT-5940C includes IEEE 488.1 GPIB and USB 2.0 computer interfaces for easy integration into any R&D or manufacturing application. Specifications. TE Current: -5.00 to +5.00 A . Multimode Fiber
Multimode Fiber has a large core (almost always 62.5 microns - a micron is one one millionth of a meter - but sometimes 50 microns) and is used with LED sources at wavelengths of 850 and 1300 nm for short distance, lower speed networks like LANs. Both multimode and singlemode fiber have an outside diameter of 125 microns - about 5 thousandths of an inch - just slightly larger than a human hair.
